McGrath Family Farm

April 30, 2015

Tom and Caroline McGrath are the youngest farm family in Maple Hill Creamery’s 50+ small family farms in NY State. They currently milk about 30 cows and hope to increase that amount over the next few years. They, along with our other farmers, are committed to raising certified organic cows on a 100% certified grass-fed diet. Their milking parlor is called a New Zealand style-swing parlor. Tom and Elaine inherited the farm from Tom’s father, who also milked cows. Less than 1% of the dairy cows in the United States are 100% grass-fed, 365 days a year. Join the McGrath’s on a tour of their farm as seen through their eyes.
